Yes, I do commissions
Since ancient times commissioning a piece of original artwork has been a unique and gratifying experience that lasts through generations. It is an ultimate expression of individuality, it is your story conveyed by an artist on canvas.
What to expect:
Expressionist painting is not photography and is not done from a photograph, thus: I expect to spend some time painting the subject; the resulting work includes feeling and impressions, but not necessarily all of the actual details.
Design and planning:
Give as much input as possible. It is not just about subject, medium, and size. The desired emotions, mood, and tone to be expressed are very important. Photographs can also be useful.
Timing:
With unique art pieces not everything can be scheduled or predicted. The typical process takes between a few weeks and up to few months.
Pricing:
Each request and each artwork is highly individual, therefore the exact price depends on many factors, among them are medium type, size, desired materials to be used, and their current availability, the subject of the artwork, as well as travel and logistics required to execute the project. In each case the total cost is to be negotiated independently. Click here to estimate price. These prices do not include framing, shipping, and taxes.
I do not specialize in framing, however you should consider this cost in your estimates as it usually ranges from $100 for a simple and standard-size frame, up to $1000 or higher for a large high quality custom made frame.
What if you don't like the result?
There is no reason to have an artwork if you are not happy with it. I will gladly take it back and issue a refund. However, beware that it is not always possible to refund the cost of materials.
